Life Lines no. 15
Reporting live from the first day of December. 🪖
Greetings from my studio at home. It is 8:52 PM on the first day of December and I am determined to get this issue of Life Lines scheduled for tomorrow morning. :) I have been running low on the kind of energy you need to start new projects and that is ok. I need to wind down, to contract a little, to wait, to let things pass, to let the year end.
This year has passed by so fast, like a super bullet train (or whatever they are called). I know it feels cliche to even say it now. “Oh wow the year passed so fast” and it feels like everyone is saying the same thing, but for real, what happened? I really hope this month I get to just stop and sit with all my questions. Because of those, I have soooo many! 🤠
Photos and descriptions of things that happened recently.
My permanent exhibition “Dream Structures” is now inaugurated and officially open at a subway station in my hometown of Monterrey, Nuevo León, México Garcia Gonzales de las Fuentes, si señor!
My collaboration with OBERMEYER is finally out. If you have kids and love snowboarding or skiing, now you can get your hands on the Kids Artist Series. The gear came out so much nicer than I ever could have imagined. You can find them here!!
I was also just in the Bay Area doing two murals as part of the INSPIRED STUDENTS MURAL INITIATIVE. This time I visited Petaluma Junior High School and McDowell Elementary School. Both were amazing experiences and I got to make a lot of new friends. Doing the murals with input from the community and the students is something I treasure deeply.
I’ve been playing with new technology (👀) and I am starting to visualize how my art could look three dimensional. I would love one day to make some huge sculptures. One day at a time though.
Now, more photos, but this time with tiny descriptions.
Sorry couldn’t think of better titles.
I truly hope you had an amazing thanksgiving. 🖤
Thank you for being here.
